Carlisle St Gallery

The Carlisle Street Gallery (formally The Gallery St Kilda Town Hall) required a re-brand of their current logo and marketing collateral. The Carlisle St Gallery is an exhibition space at the St Kilda Town Hall, showcasing the work of local artists.

Following the revision of the initial design process and refinement stage, the final design that was chosen for the gallery logo is a combination of an icon and a word mark. The icon has been influenced by the Corinthian architectural style of the St Kilda Town Hall’s facade with particular reference to its vertical columns and central gable roof line. The icon forms a stylised letter ‘C’, which has been designed to be used by its self, as well as with the word mark. The icon also has the ability to be repeated to create an abstract patter. The stylised ‘C’ has been split into two separate parts to convey the idea of community and collaboration, and joining together to create something new and exciting.
